The police charged Ogunjimi, whose address was not given with possession of explosives without permission.
The prosecutor, Inps. Caleb Leramo, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on June 30 along Ikere-Ado road in Ado-Ekiti.
He alleged that the defendant did have in his possession large pieces of “super 90 explosives” without permit.
Leramo said the offence is punishable under Regulation 34 of the Mineral and Mining(Explosives) Regulation, 2012.
The prosecutor asked the court for adjournment to enable him to study the case file and present his witnesses.
The defendant pleaded not guilty.
Defence counsel, Mr Busuyi Ayorinde, prayed the court to grant his client bail in liberal terms.
Chief Magistrate Abdulhamid Lawal admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N20,000 with one surety in like sum.
He adjourned the case until Aug.17 for hearing.
