Fogos gave the advice in his sermon on Sunday in Jos, adding that the choices people make in life defines them.
The cleric decried that people, particularly christains makes wrong choices that often leads to destruction.
He added that the wrong and ungodly choices people make has distanced them from God, hence the rationale for the evils currently being faced in the world.
Fogos attirbutted the wrong choices people make in life to their love for the things of the world, and called on Christians to shun worldly pleasures.
“In our today’s first reading, God has provided opportunity for us to choose between good and evil, but unfortunately, we tend to make wrong choices in our daily living.
“The love for the things of this world have made people, particularly Christians into making wrong choices and later regret in life.
“But as children of God, we are called upon today to make godly choices; choices that will make the world better.
“Let’s forget the things of this world and focus on heavenly inheritance, and take decisions that will please God and mankind,” he advised.
Fogos urged Christians to pray fervently in order to overcome temptations and the dictates of the flesh which are displeasing to God.
