A former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Dr. Obadiah Mailafia has revealed how he scaled the fence of his home as strange people tried to break down his gate.
According to the ex-presidential candidate, the incident occurred last week Thursday, Daily Post reported.
He was reported to have stated this on Monday shortly after honouring a third invitation extended to him by the Department of State Services (DSS) in Jos, Plateau State.
Mailafia had last month accused a sitting northern governor of being the Commander of Boko Haram on a radio programme.
The claim pitted him against the security agencies, causing the DSS to invite him three times and the police once.
However, he refused to honour the police invitation, and headed to court for a restrainng order against the law enforcement agency.

He accused the security agencies of persecuting him for being the voice of the millions of voiceless Nigerians facing security challenges.
Mailafia further claimed that his life was in danger as he has been received threat calls.
“I have indicated that I have reason to believe that my life has been in danger.
“I have no conclusive proof but I get threats, I get calls.
“Where I was staying, on Thursday, I saw some strange people at the gate trying to break in. I jumped the fence and escaped because I don’t know who they are,” the economist stated.
