Lukas Podolski has confirmed that he is not happy at Arsenal and admitted he is open to a move in January.
The World Cup winner has not started a game this season and has only featured for 37 minutes.
The player clinched his 120th cap for his country in Germany’s 1-1 draw against Poland on Tuesday and said “I have assessed my position in the team, and it has to change now.”
His hopes of leaving Arsenal disappeared when Olivier Giroud broke his foot at the end of August.
But new signings Danny Welbeck and Alexis Sanchez have kept him on the bench.
Podolski insisted he will still be up for a switch when the window reopens if his situation doesn’t improve.
He added: “Let’s see what happens in the winter. The fact is that I’m not happy with it, that’s clear.”
