If Barcelona succeed in luring Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann to Camp Nou, it could spell the end for Luis Suarez at the club.
Barcelona have lavished over £200 million on the duo of Philippe Coutinho and Ousmane Dembele in the past year following the departure of Neymar but they are reportedly still unsatisfied with the current shape of the team.
And as Atletico Madrid have halved 26-year-old Griezmann’s buyout clause from £175 million to £87 million, the Catalans have reportedly identified him as the ideal player to fill the void left in the team.
However, Radio Catalunya reported that Barcelona would dispense with the services of 31-year-old Suarez, who is the oldest of Barca’s attacking players to accommodate 27-year-old Griezmann.
The Frenchman reportedly rejected a move to Manchester United last season but it is understood he will endorse a move to the Camp Nou.
