Goalkeeper Loris Karius took to Twitter to apologise to Liverpool fans and team mates for last night’s loss to Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League final.
The German goalkeeper committed two howlers that practically gifted the UCL title to Real Madrid in Kiev.
First, he threw a ball into the path of Benzema, whose one touch sent the ball rolling agonisingly into the net.
Also, he failed to properly parry a long-range shot from Gareth Bale, and the ball deflected into the net.
The two howlers ensured five-time champions, Liverpool lost 3-1 to defending champions Real Madrid.
