The News Agency of Nogeria (NAN) reports that the sellers of the commodity in various parts of llorin metropolis had put their contact telephone numbers on internet for prospective buyers to request for supply which are to be delivered at their residences.

According to the internet information, a chicken seller after receiving a call for purchase will request for the size and quantity which would then be slaughtered at the market and delivered at the home of the buyer almost immediately.

One of the chicken sellers along Wahab Folawiyo road in llorin, Mr Wale Saka, told NAN that they embarked on the home delivery method to assist interested buyers during the current lockdown.

He however said that they charge between N300 to N500 as transport fare to the delivery point, depending on the distance.

Another seller, Mr Yinka Apalando, said the prices of chickens are affordable enough to attract more interested buyers.

Two of the buyers, Mrs Bolanle Oladele and Mr Tajudeen Agboola, described the home delivery services as convenient, since they were unable to get to the markets.

They observed that the hours prescribed for citizens to come out on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays were too short to carry out any reasonable business transaction.
