Liverpool have turned down an attempt by Italian club AS Roma to sign Xherdan Shaqiri back to the Serie A on loan.
Recall that Shaqiri in his early days was with Inter Milan before making the switch to Stoke City.
Game times have been hard to come by for Shaqiri recently having only featured 10 times in all competitions this season, the arrival of Takumi Minamino means game time would be much tougher to come by. With Liverpool closing in on a first league title in 30 years, manager Jurgen Klopp is not taking chances with any of his senior attacking options.
Liverpool are still in every competition they are competing in and with the look of things they are going for broke and would need every able man.
