Liverpool is preparing a bid for Red Bull Salzburg star Takumi Minamino.
Minamino is believed to have a release clause of $7.5 in his contract. He played against the Reds on both occasions of their Champions League encounter this season where he caught the eye of Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.

The Japanese international has scored nine goals in 22 appearances for Salzburg this season and provided 11 assists.
Christoph Freund Red Bull’s sporting director has confirmed talks between both clubs for the Asian star for a possible move to Anfield.

Minamino ha scored twice in the Champions League this season one of which came against the Reds in a game Red Bull lost 4-3.
Liverpool has stepped up interest in the man as other clubs are beginning to pick him up on their radar. Before the competition gets stiff, Klopp and Liverpool are hoping to land their man.
Thanks to a change to the Champions League rules last year even if the switch takes place, Minamino will be eligible to feature in the competition with the Champions.
