Dani Osvaldo, a former Italian international who retired from football to follow his passion of becoming a rock musician has hit out at Lionel Messi.
Osvaldo who featured for Juventus, Inter Milan and Southampton, stated in an interview that he doesn’t regret dumping the sport to pursue music and that he’d rather not live the life that Messi leads.
“Would I like to be like Messi? No. I’d like to play like him, but he has no life. It’s as if he lives in a golden prison,” he told Marca.
“He couldn’t go somewhere and quietly drink something. Maybe he doesn’t care about it, but I do.

“Failing that, he probably drives a Ferrari, knowing he lives 15 minutes away from the Barcelona’s training ground…”
Osvaldo was a bit of a rabble-rouser and will be remembered for a number of high-profile incidents involving his coaches and teammates especially one time while with Southampton where he headbutted his teammate Jose Fonte.
Osvaldo even won the Scudetto with Juventus while on loan there from Southampton.
