Lil Frosh Remanded In Ikoyi Prison Over Assault On Ex-Girlfriend

Nigerian singer, Lil Frosh has been remanded in Ikoyi prison after being accused of physically assaulting his ex-girlfriend.

The rapper was arraigned at the Chief Magistrate Court 1, Yaba on the 8th of February 2021 on a one-count charge for assaulting for his girlfriend, Okeoghene Taiye Iyometerie.

According to reports, The International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) Lagos State chapter got involved in the case and were reportedly actively involved the arraignment of the rapper.

Lil Frosh, who earlier denied the allegations, was invited to the Federal Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Alagbon, on February 4, 2021, for interrogation.

The former DMW signee however pleaded not guilty to the charge leveled against him which is punishable under Section 173 of the Criminal Code Law of Lagos State 2015.

The case was adjourned to 9th March 2021 for mention, while the Court ordered the Defendant to be remanded in Ikoyi Prison and advised him to bring an application for bail.

In October 2020, Mayoks Michael, Camille’s manager and brother, had accused Lil Frosh of beating her up.

Gift shared pictures of her battered face online and also gave details of what transpired between the duo. Due to the heavy backlash, Davido immediately dropped Lil Frosh from his record label, DMW.

At the time, Lil Frosh was silent about the whole drama, however, the singer finally spoke up.

Lil Frosh, in an interview debunked the allegation, saying he loves her so much and he cannot lay his fingers on her.
