There was mild drama at the National Assembly Complex on Thursday after the Lebanese Ambassador to Nigeria, Houssam Diab walked out on members of the House of Representatives.
Mr. Diab had been summoned by the House Committee on Diaspora Affairs over the assault and maltreatment of West Africans in Lebanon.
The Ambassador was also to explain the harassment of one Temitope Arowolo currently undergoing trial for alleged attempted murder in Lebanon.

According to the Lebanese ambassador, he was forced to walk out on the lawmakers because of the presence of the media. Unlike what happens in Lebanon, he was unaware that Nigerian lawmakers were so transparent in their dealings and the National Assembly carried out most of its affairs in front of the press.
The Committee Chairman, Tolulope Akande-Sadipe expressed shock at the incident saying it was rather unexpected from the Ambassador.
The Committee had earlier resolved to hold the government of Lebanon responsible for the violation of the rights of Temitope Arowolo.
