LEAH Foundation Counsels Female Civil Servants On The Early Detection Of Cancer In Kwara State

All the female civil servants in Kwara state were converged by a Non-Governmental Organization called Leah Foundation at Kwara State Banquet Hall, Opposite Government House Ilorin today for a special concern awareness programme.

During the programme, Health talk and aerobic exercise against cancer was anchored by Dr. Femi Adeleye of Optimal Cancer Care Foundation, Lagos on how to detect cancer at early stage. Also, the founder of LEAH foundation, Her Excellency, Deaconess Omolewa Ahmed who was represented by his Personal Assistant, Mr. Lanre Bello made disclosed that her interest in cancer care and philanthropic gestures for the downtrodden is borne out of her passion to always see healthy homes as health they say is wealth. She further charged the good people of Kwara to make full use of the highly digitalized Cancer Diagnosis Centre located along AbdulKarim Adisa House, GRA Ilorin which offers cancer treatment at no cost.

Also, goodwill messages were given by the Kwara State Commissioner for Information, Mr. Muyideen Ajeigbe and his Women Affairs counterpart, Hajia Ayinke Saka respectively. Specifically, Mr. Muyideen Ajeigbe who made bare the full meaning of LEAH as Life Empowered Anchors Hope mentioned several special cancer cases which have been successfully handled by the foundation.

At the end of the programme, questions were asked by the female civil servants in attendance and apt answers and identified solutions for various cancer problems were given by the anchor. However, civil servants who benefitted from the cancer concerned lectures showed appreciation for the timely programme capable of saving millions of lives against the pandemic disease.
