The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III, has urged Nigerians to continue to pray for their leaders to enable them to address the numerous challenges facing the country.
Abubakar spoke at the inauguration of a new Mosque donated by the Qatar Foundation to the community of Rijiyar Kade in Kware local government area of Sokoto State on Thursday.
The Sultan said that Nigerians needed to support its leaders with fervent prayers and to remain patient as the country’s challenges are being addressed.

“As leaders, we are aware of all the hardship the people are facing. However, I want to appeal to all of you to continue to remain patient with us and sustain prayers for us to deliver better.
“Moreover, I want to thank the Qatar Foundation for their commitment to serve the Muslim Ummah in various endeavours. This gesture is highly appreciated,” the Sultan said.
He also called on the people of the community to take responsibility of ensuring the security of the facility allocated to their area.
Earlier, the Chairman Sokoto State Zakkat and Endowment Commission, Malam Muhammad Maidoki, said that the foundation had engaged in many projects as endowment across the state.
“Some of the projects includes the Mosques Construction, Boreholes and the Construction of Housing unit for the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Gandi of Rabah LGA among many others,” he said.
Maidoki thanked the foundation for their contribution to the well being of the society, and lauded the Sultan for his dedication to Islam.
