A lawyer and human rights activist, Deji Adeyanju, has denied a report in a section of the media that he has appealed the conviction of popular cross-dresser, Idris Okuneye aka Bobrisky.
Adeyanju made the clarification in an X post on Monday, April 22.
Recall that Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos, sentenced Bobrisky to six months without an option of fine for naira abuse on Friday, April 12.
This followed the crossdresser’s arraignment by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The Punch quoted Adeyanju as saying that he is neither an attorney to Bobrisky nor did he file an appeal on the convict’s behalf.
“I didn’t file any appeal on Bobrisky’s behalf. I am not representing Bobrisky on any matter,” he said.
