Traffic was at a snail’s pace around the GRA/Oba Akran axis of Ikeja today, little did motorists know that things were about to get worse.
According to an eyewitness account, there was a man who was putting on only boxer shorts and arguing with LASTMA agents at the under bridge roundabout near Conoil petrol station.
During the argument, the man ran off making threats like he was going to get a weapon. At that time one of the LASTMA agents went to go and get two sticks for he and his colleague in case the man came back with a weapon.
After a few moments, the man came back but with no weapon and continued arguing with the LASTMA agents. All this was witnessed by the traffic police and other police officers in the area who did not bother to intervene in keeping law, order and peace.
The man then took off his boxer shorts, probably in protest of his vehicle seized by LASTMA, although there was no visible cause as to why he went stark naked.
