Mr Olufemi Odubiyi, the Lagos State Commissioner for Science and Technology, has commended OLX Nigeria for its role in creating jobs for Nigerian youths.
A statement signed by OLX on Tuesday said that Odubiyi made the commendation at the opening of a new branch office of the outfit in Lagos as part of activities to celebrate its fourth year anniversary.
Odubiyi was represented at the occasion by Mr Adeyinka Sorungbe, an Assistant Director of ICT the comapany, Lagos State.
“I commend OLX Nigeria for its tenacity in weathering the storm and playing a front-line role in creating jobs for youths and using technology to help people to buy and sell conveniently.’’
Mrs Lola Masha, their Country Manager, said: “we have come a long way from when we started’’.f
“ We have grown both in staff size and users with over a million sellers on the platform and we are constantly innovating our product to meet our users needs.’’
