Barcelona manager, Xavi Hernandez, has insisted he made the right decision to step down in the summer despite the team’s upturn in form.
The Catalans are now in second position in LaLiga after Saturday’s 4-0 win over Getafe.
It was Barca’s fourth league win in five matches.
Despite moving to within five points of table-toppers Real Madrid, Xavi has said he does not regret his decision to move on at the end of the campaign.
When asked if he was sorry that he was leaving Barcelona, Xavi replied: “No, quite the opposite.
“The decision is very correct because the team has taken a step forward.
“I am very convinced of the decision. Not for me, but for the club. And thank the fans from the bottom of my heart for being by my side.”
