The consistent downpour of rain over the past months have taken its toll on some residence of Lagos State, leading to floods in several areas.
The flood persisted in Ikoyi and Victoria Island Lagos in the past weeks. According to Pulse.ng, the state Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tunji Bello stated that it was due to the rise in water level, which restricted the lagoon’s deposit of water into the ocean.

Residents of Owode Elede along Ikorodu road in Lagos state have their lives subjected to the floods, as the community continues to endure the effects.
TheCable reported its visit to Owode, where it captured houses filled with water, cars have been submerged and businesses shut down.
