Peeved by the escalating security challenge in the Centre of Excellence, the Commissioner of Police in Lagos, Fatai Owoseni, has promised to arrest the ugly trend before the celebration of Christmas.
Owoseni made this disclosure on Tuesday at the State Security Council meeting in Alausa, Ikeja.
“We looked again at the margin of security challenges and trends that we are facing in Lagos and the need to improve ourselves.
“The council also came up with the need for us to re-commit our personnel to addressing these challenges with a view to ensuring that as we approach the Yuletide, the Christmas period, we would be able to at least reduce the criminalities in the state to the barest minimum and to reassure our people in Lagos that the government is committed to their safety,” he noted.
The CP said that the Lagos State Police Command has been working round the clock to ensure that security is restored and people can sleep with both eyes closed.
