The Lagos State Government has announced that its desire to ensure a cleaner environment will also be an avenue of job creation for unemployed youths.
The Commissioner for the Environment, Dr Babatunde Adejare, stated this during an interactive meeting organised by the Ministry of Local Government and Community Affairs for Community Development Committee, community development associations and other stakeholders across the state at the Secretariat, Alausa, Ikeja, The PUNCH reports.
Adejare, who was represented by the Director, Environmental Services, Dr Iyabo Phillips, said the government was working on a cleaner environment in addition to ensuring the security of lives and property.

The Director, Operations, Visionscape, Mr Tarak Sahay, said the firm would partner with the government on integrated waste management system to maximise the opportunities of generating sustainable and renewable energy resources.
The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Community Affairs, Alhaji Tajudeen Quadri, advised stakeholders to cooperate with the government.
