The commissioner named the officers involved in the killing while paying a condolence visit to the home of the  deceased at No. 1 Beco Street in the Onipetesi area of the state on Tuesday.

He said that the police would ensure that justice was done in the matter, and confirmed an earlier police statement that the officers involved had been taken into custody.

The commissioner prayed for the repose of the victim’s soul and fortitude to enable the family bear the “irreparable loss”.

In some photos of the visit shared by the Nigeria Police Force, Muazu could be seen kneeling to console a woman that appeared to be the victim’s mother.
