Peoples Democratic Party, Lagos State Chapter has cleared seven gubernatorial aspirants for the party primaries that will be held on Monday.
The party made this announcement yesterday through its publicity secretary, Mr Taofeek Gani who addressed reporters at the party’s secretariat, Ikeja.
The aspirants cleared include Mr Jimi Agbaje, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, Dr Adegbola Dominic, Mr Babatunde Gbadamosi, , Dr Deji Doherty, Mr Tokunbo Kamson and Mrs Modupe Chukwuemeka.
The Eight Aspirant, Dr. Ade Dowunmu stepped down to contest for Lagos Central Senatorial Race.
The party issued out a warning to all gubernatorial aspirants that they should desist from disguised media attacks on each other.
The Party also replied Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwanu Osuolale Akiolu’s statement that the gods of Lagos state will never allow PDP to rule Lagos.
The party said “only God can determine any future occurrence and no Oba should play God, PDP remains the party to beat in the state at this time.”
