Lagos State to have Northern Governor by 2035 -Reno Omokri predicts

4 Min Read
Omokri

Reno Omokri has predicted that Lagos state will have a Northern Governor by 2035 due to the high influx of Northerners who continue to migrate to the South every year.

According to the Special Assistant to Former President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri said Fulanis and Hausas make up the Quarter of the total population of Nigeria, a piece of information that could be verified by “Google”.

According  to him, Northerners keep migrating to the South while Southerners continue to relocate abroad in search of greener pastures. He said if this continues, it will not be long before the Northerners have the South under their control.

He buttressed his statement when he compared Lagos state to Lebanon. Lebanon used to be a Christian country as at 1960 until  demographic shift which was not checked in time. Lebanon has now become a Muslim dominated state. In Reno’s words, “Southern Nigeria is a Lebanon”

He made this known in a series of tweets via his verified Twitter handle. The tweets are numbered for easy reading

@renoomokri tweeted

1-With current demographic trend, the Yoruba will soon be minorities in Lagos because their birth rate, (even with their world renown for twins), cannot match the birth rates of Northerners in Lagos

2-Let me shock you! As at today, Hausa and Fulani alone now account for a quarter of the population of Lagos. That is 25%. @Google it if you doubt me. By 2030, that number is projected to be 30%.

3-As a result of the population EXPLOSION in Northern Nigeria, more Northerners are relocating down South, while Southerners cope by relocating abroad. A Northern Governor in Lagos is possible by 2035

4-Southerners don’t understand what is happening under their nose. In 1960, Lebanon was a Christian country. Due to demographic shift, they are now MINORITY in Lebanon. Southern Nigeria is a Lebanon

5-I read about an Octogenarian Zamfara woman who died and left 102 grandkids. That it was considered newsworthy in the South, shows how blind sighted Southerners are to the realities in the North

6-North and South dont compete to grow the economy as we did between 1960 and 1966 (Nzeogwu really damaged the trajectory Nigeria). We now compete to grow our population for the purpose of elections

7-The population growth rate of Northern Nigeria is TWICE that of Southern Nigeria. Remove your head from the sand. Nigeria’s demographic is changing. We are growing MOUTHS. We are NOT growing FOOD

8-Very soon, Bola @AsiwajuTinubu and his successors won’t be as influential in Lagos politics as they think they currently are. The demographics are changing. And the power dynamics must also change

9-Tinubu is too focused on his ILLUSORY presidential ambition to notice the changing demographic in Lagos. Obasanjo noticed. He did his best. But saboteurs within, like Tinubu, neutralised his good works

10-What will happen in Northern Nigeria when oil finishes. 12.5 million out of school kids. Population growth rate of 2.8%. Hundreds of thousands of grandmothers with a hundred grandkids. I shudder!
