The Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC), the highest decision-making body of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos, has endorsed Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for a second term in office.
The governor’s media aide, Gboyega Akosile disclosed this in a tweet on Monday.
Akosile said that the decision was reached at a Monday meeting of the GAC.
It was learnt that the meeting held at Lagos House, Marina, and was led by National Leader of APC and presidential hopeful, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
“Breaking news: Lagos GAC gives nod to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s second term bid. The Governance Advisory Council at a meeting in Lagos today gave pass mark to Sanwo-Olu for staying through to the developmental agenda of Lagos.
Congratulations dear boss!” he tweeted.
Recall that the GAC was in the news in January over alleged endorsement of another candidate to replace Sanwo-Olu.
The council in a statement denied embarking on such a move, blaming merchant of hate, confusion, discord and disharmony for spreading the misinformation.
