The menace of “one-chance” robbery is one that many Lagos residents have experienced first-hand or indirectly through family, friends, or associates.
One-chance is a type of robbery that has an element of kidnapping, albeit for a short period. Victims are lured into a commercial vehicle whose passengers are robbers, after which they are stripped of their valuables.
Victims sometimes get injured and, in extreme cases, lose their lives.
One lady that experienced the menace first-hand and lived to tell the story is a Twitter user @RukkyJoy.
