Former Governor of Oyo State, Rashidi Ladoja has been confirmed as the Gubernatorial Candidate of Accord Party in the 2015 general elections.
Ladoja who is the party leader in Nigeria had no opponent during the primaries and he polled 1,692 votes.
During his acceptance speech he said “This is not the victory itself but the beginning of the struggle that is taking us into the 2015 elections. The beauty of the AP is that it is a violence-free party. We do not believe in sharing money or spending money excessively on elections as it is done in other parties.
“We have done it before and we will do it again. The people of this state are waiting for us because the AP is the party to beat in the state. It is not for nothing that we are the darling of traders, students, teachers and everybody, this is because of the good work we have always done.”
Ladoja promised to make Oyo State self-sufficient economically if he becomes the Governor.
