The Life After Abuse Foundation (LAAF) has called on the Lagos State Government to intervene to protect the fatherhood rights of popular On-Air-Personality, Do2dtun.
The mental health advocacy group made the call in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Saturday.
In a post on Instagram on Thursday, Do2dtun, whose real name is Kayode Ojuolape Oladotun, faulted his ex-wife, Omotayo, and her family for allegedly denying him access to his children.
The OAP and Omotayo, who is the younger sister of popular singer D’banj, got married in 2013.
However, the estranged couple separated in 2022 after she alleged forced abortion, domestic violence and emotional abuse.
In June 2023, Do2dtun claimed that it had been 10 months since he last set eyes on his children from the marriage, a claim he reiterated on Thursday.
In Thursday’s post, he also shared a court document showing that a judge granted him joint custody of the kids and called on his ex-wife’s family to respect the judiciary by granting him access to his kids.
In its X post, LAAF called on the Lagos government especially the Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation (WAPA) to ensure that the OAP is allowed to see his kids.
“@LagosStateGov @wapalagos, it’s time to act! @iamDo2dtun is being denied access to his children, despite going through court proceedings.
“We implore you to restore his rights to see his children.
“Let’s support co-parenting equality,” the foundation said.
