Members of the Kwara State House of Assembly have elected Yakubu Danladi, a 34-year-old graduate of Kaduna Polytechnic, as the speaker.
Danladi represents Ilesha-Gwanara constituency, and he was elected unopposed on Tuesday.
He was nominated by Saheed Popoola of Balogun-Ojomu constituency, Offa local government area of the state.
Danladi would be the third politician to reflect the not-too-young-to-run campaign, which was passed into law in 2018 to reduce the age limit for members of the state house of assembly from 30 years to 25 years.
