As the people of Kogi go to the polls on November 21 to elect the governor of the state, the All Progressives Congress has implored the voters to avoid the antics of the Peoples Democratic Party who may try to buy their voter’s cards.
In a statement on Thursday, Comrade Daniel Isah, the Director General of the Audu/Faleke campaign organisation, said buying voter’s cards from the electorate will not save the PDP from defeat in the elections.
“When you sell your card you are selling your future and progress. PDP leaders don’t care for you, so if you give them your card, your future has been mortgaged,” Isah advised the residents.
Isah called on the independent National Electoral Commission and law enforcement agencies to collaborate in investigating the cases of buying of voter’s cards of members of the electorate by PDP agents.
He promised to assist the police and INEC to fish out the culprits by making names of suspected voter’s card buyers available to them.
