Following the crisis plaguing the Kogi State House of Assembly, the Assembly Complex which was shut off earlier in the week and manned by heavily armed security agents has been opened.
According to the Vanguard who visited the Assembly Complex, the complex is reported to have been reopened for legislative businesses as the entrance gate was opened although the key to the door was removed.
Offices such as the police division and others were also opened with police officers going about their usual duties and some were seen relaxing under the tree immediately past the gate.
It was noted that the police on duty made no attempt at obstructing entry into the complex.
It was also observed that the legislators were not seen around but many other staff members including the clerk of the House were in their respective offices.
The Chief Press Secretary, CPS, to the factional Speaker, Umar Ali, was seen around the Assembly Complex and when approached said; “I can tell you authoritatively that the Assembly under the leadership of Rt. Hon Imam Umar will reconvene in this complex as soon as their recess is over..”
