A member of the House of Representatives, Dr. Abdulmumin Jibrin Kofa, has called for an immediate reconciliation between former Governors Rabiu Kwankwaso and Umar Ganduje of Kano State.

Kofa, who represents the Kiru/Bebeji constituency, made the call during an interview with Freedom Radio on Thursday. He described the ongoing conflict between the two leaders as a hindrance to the progress of Kano State.

According to Kofa, it is essential for all citizens with good intentions to unite and aid in reconciling the two leaders. He noted that the persistent rivalry between Kwankwaso and Ganduje has significantly affected the state.

Kofa, a follower of Kwankwaso’s Kwankwasiyya movement, emphasized that as Muslims, it is their responsibility to bring the two leaders together, prioritizing peace and unity.

He acknowledged the notable political careers of both leaders, highlighting Kwankwaso’s progression from the Kano State Civil Service to Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, and Ganduje’s journey from civil servant to two-term Governor.

Kofa’s call for reconciliation aims to end the rivalry between Kwankwaso and Ganduje, which has hindered Kano State’s progress. He urged both leaders to put aside their differences and work towards a future of peace, unity, and development.
