The Kano State Government, has restated its determination to deploy human and material resources in the efforts to eliminate malaria scourge in the state.
The Commissioner for Health, Dr Kabir Getso, made this remark at a- two-day training with the theme, ‘Overview of Malaria Control Module’ in Kano on Tuesday.
He urged the participants to translate into practice at various duty posts what they had learnt during the training.
“The State Government is very much committed to the provision of quality health care services and for malaria in particular,” he said.
He lauded the Centre for Disease Control (CDC) for organising the training on the Roll Back Malaria programme.
He said some officers were selected from 20 Local Government Areas in the state to attend the programme.
NAN reports that laptop computers were presented to each of the participants for proper and easier dissemination of reports.
In attendance was the representative of the National Malaria Elimination Programme, Dr Emmanuel Shekarau and a representative of the CDC, Dr Femi Ajimobi.
Shekarau lauded the State Government for the commitment it had demonstrated in addressing the issue of malaria elimination in the state. (NAN)
