Kittitian dancehall artist Byron Messia expressed his delight at teaming up with Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Burna Boy for the remix of his hit song ‘Talibans.’

Sharing insights into the creative process behind the remix on the latest episode of the Bootleg Kev podcast, Messia couldn’t help but shower praise on Burna Boy’s extraordinary talent. According to Messia, Burna Boy’s approach to music is nothing short of “insane.”

Recounting the studio session, Messia revealed, “Burna Boy did his verse on the song, ‘Talibans II,’ in my presence. The session was fun and exciting. Burna Boy murdered that remix. The way he came up with that verse, man, this guy is talented, gifted like out of this world, crazy, insane—insanely talented.

Messia went on to highlight Burna Boy’s unique style, emphasizing that the Grammy winner doesn’t write his verses in the studio. “He didn’t even write his verse. He didn’t stand in the studio booth for an hour. It was a crazy moment,” Messia added, marveling at Burna Boy’s ability to freestyle his verse effortlessly.
