Reality TV star, Kim Kardashian and her rapper husband, Kanye West have been named among the 30 most influential people on the Internet.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that “The Time” magazine recognised them and 28 other celebrities, for their “global impact on social media and their overall ability to drive news”.
According to the Time, Kanye has a unique ability in using Twitter.
“The artist and entrepreneur have perfected the art of the Twitter spree, sharing candid thoughts that are often just as provocative – if not more so – than his music.
“His tweets can be controversial and confusing, but many do offer constructive criticism of the fashion and music industries,” it says.
According to Time, Kim Kardashian is one of the most-watched people on the planet, with more than 120 million followers across Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat.
Most recently, Kim made headlines for posting a series of nude selfies, which she defended, and also launched two new mobile apps in the past year.
These have attracted a lot of attention on social media.
Other stars on the list include, Caitlyn Jenner, Joy Cho, James Corden and International football maestro, Cristiano Ronaldo.
NAN reports that also listed among the 30 most influential personalities is US presidential hopeful, Donald Trump. (NAN)
