The Minister of State, Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo has reacted to news that eight members of the Dokpesi family testing positive to coronavirus.
The Chairman of Daar Communications, the mother company of the African Independent Television (AIT), Raymond Dokpesi, in a statement on Friday revealed that him and his family have tested positive for coronavirus.
The Daar Chairman was already in self isolation before he started to have symptoms of malaria alongside cough. He was said to have contacted the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) for a Coronavirus test which came back positive.
Dokpesi said he had not travelled out of the country recently and advised people he had interactions with recently to get tested.

He said: “I got a call this morning confirming the result is COVID-19 positive. I am leaving now to the Gwagwalada Isolation Centre for treatment and hope to be back in two weeks. Many of you may have interacted with me during our various meetings and I would advise you to get tested as soon as possible.”
Reacting to the news, Keyamo prayed for the Dokpesi family and wished them speedy recovery.
He tweeted: “Our thoughts and prayers are with the Dokpesi family at this time.
“I have implicit faith and unshakable belief that, one by one, they shall ALL recover and bounce back to good health!”
