Incumbent and embattled Super Eagles Coach Stephen Keshi has bragged about not being scared of losing his job with the team.
Following the shocking defeat of Nigeria by Sudan in the first leg of their double header, strong indications were that Keshi will be sacked with immediate effect.
An NFF insider also disclosed that the board are considering a replacement for the ‘Big Boss’.
But, Keshi is not moved by these threats; he went on to claim he has, on stand-by, job offers by three other national teams.
“if tomorrow they say Keshi leave, there is no shaking because other two, three countries are waiting (for me),” the 52-year-old football manager said.
“Right now I have been to other places I have coached before I have not been fired.
“If it comes down to Nigeria, I have been here before, qualified Nigeria for 2002 WC with Amodu Shaibu, we were asked to leave.”
Meanwhile, sports minister Tammy Danagogo has pleaded with Nigerians to overlook Super Eagles misfortune and support them today in their return leg against Sudan at the Abuja stadium.
“Nigerians have the right to be angry after seeing the Eagles losing the game against Sudan, but having expressed their displeasure… the fans must come out 2 support d team because we still have the chance to qualify,” the minister said.
