In a recent interview with Channels Television’s Seun Okinbaloye, Nollywood actor and lawyer Kenneth Okonkwo didn’t mince words as he criticized President Bola Tinubu’s administration, cautioning about the impending threat of anarchy in Nigeria.
Okonkwo pointedly criticized President Tinubu’s decision to allow his children to take precedence before Ministers in the Order of Protocols during a recent visit to Qatar. He emphasized that Nigeria cannot be governed like Lagos, highlighting the stark differences between the two.
Comparing President Tinubu’s administration to his predecessor, Okonkwo expressed dismay, stating that the nine months of the current government have surpassed his expectations of incompetence. He specifically addressed issues of nepotism within the administration, highlighting concerns about favoritism towards individuals from the Lagos axis.
Furthermore, Okonkwo condemned the lack of decorum exhibited by allowing someone to sit on the Coat of Arms and disparage military personnel. He underscored the severity of such actions and their implications for the nation.
In Okonkwo’s eyes, the concentration of appointments within President Tinubu’s administration, particularly towards individuals with ties to the Lagos axis, reflects a troubling trend of exclusion and favoritism.
