A patient suspected to be infected with Coronavirus has tested negative in Katsina state.
The man who arrived from Malaysia days ago and manifested symptoms of the deadly virus tested negative after several tests were carried out according to a report by The Nation.
Malaysia is one of the countries affected by COVID-19 with a record of over 500 confirmed cases.
Engr. Nuhu Yakubu Danja, Katsina State Commissioner for Health who addressed newsmen on Thursday morning disclosed that the suspected patient is not a carrier of the dreaded Coronavirus.

Meanwhile, a 27-year-old American has died from the disease in Ekiti state, Nigeria while his Nigerian driver tested positive to the virus.
Nigerians have been advised to undertake social distancing by avoiding large gatherings to prevent contraction.
Also, House of Reps has banned religious centres such as church and mosque from conducting worship as a precautionary measure to avoid the disease.
