Katsina Market Fire: Reno Omokri Berates Tinubu Over N50m Donation

Former Presidential aide, Reno Omokri has berated APC National Leader, Asiwaju BolaTinubu for donating N50 million to Katsina Central Market fire victims while allegedly neglecting victims of a similar incident in his native Lagos.

Omokri stated this in a Facebook post on Wednesday evening.

Tinubu nad visited Katsina earlier in the day and announced a N50 million donation while calling for the reopening of the market to enable traders resume commercial activities.

The former Lagos governor was accompanied to the ravaged market by Governor Aminu Bello Masari; his Deputy, Mannir Yakubu and the Secretary to the State Government, Mustapha Inuwa, expressed shock over the fire disaster.

Speaking on the APC National Leader’s donation, Omokri wrote, “Bola Tinubu, who did not visit or donate even one kobo to victims of the Sasa market crisis, or to victims of the Ijesha market fire in Lagos (though his own daughter is the Iyaloja, i.e. head of market traders in Lagos), has today visited victims of the Katsina market fire and donated ₦50 million to them.

“Obviously, Tinubu’s charity begins far from home. And this Chicago degree holder and his ilk are disrespecting Sunday Igboho, a wealthy man, who is willing to fight for the ordinary man, even at the risk of his wealth and health.

“Tinubu is a dealer. He is never a leader.”
