Kanye West reacted to the news of his brother-in-law Rob Kardashian‘s surprise engagement to Blac Chyna on Friday, April 8, and had some really sweet things to say about his wife Kim Kardashian‘s younger brother.
The “Famous” rapper, 38, touched down in LAX after a fun-filled week in Vail, Colorado, with the rest of the Kardashian-Jenner family, and was setting off for another trip to the Philippines. West was in a great mood as he walked through the check-in area of his flight, and was asked whether he would be attending “Blac Chyna’s wedding.”
West replied: “You know what? I haven’t been invited.”
The dad of North, 2, and Saint, 4 months, was then asked whether the family was supporting the union. “You know, Rob is my brother. I love Rob,” he said, clapping his hands. “I just roll with it. I love Rob, that’s all I can say. I love Rob.”
It was revealed this week that while the family members have privately reached out to Rob to congratulate him on his engagement, there’s a reason why they haven’t publicly acknowledged the proposal on social media.
A source revealed that family matriarch Kris Jenner was less than enthused about Rob’s making such a big life decision after less than three months of dating the makeup artist, who shares a young son with Kylie Jenner’s boyfriend, Tyga.
“Kris is not happy,” the insider revealed. “Dating Chyna is one thing, but marrying her is another.”
During the family’s ski trip, they deliberated over how to handle the engagement news in public. “The whole family is discussing it and is angry, but they are talking to come up with a unified front for how to address it,” the same source told Us. “It’s a huge mistake to them.”
