Renowned American singer Kanye West is now the subject of a lawsuit for alleged assault and battery by a fan seeking an autograph. The incident reportedly took place in 2022 in DTLA, and details of the encounter have recently come to light.
According to TMZ, the autograph seeker claimed that after approaching Kanye West and requesting an autograph, the situation escalated unexpectedly. The aggrieved fan asserted that he demanded an apology from the singer, to which Kanye reportedly responded with defiance, asking, “Apology for what?” The situation took a violent turn as the singer allegedly struck the fan multiple times, resulting in severe injuries.
Eyewitnesses reported that one of the individuals accompanying Kanye attempted to intervene, urging him to stop the assault. However, the singer reportedly responded with an expletive-laden command, saying, “go to the f**king house and get my f**king kids.” The altercation reached a disturbing climax when Kanye allegedly exclaimed, “I’m going to make a f***ing example of you,” before delivering a forceful punch to the fan’s face.
In response to the traumatic incident, the fan has filed a lawsuit against Kanye West, seeking damages for emotional distress resulting from the assault. Adding another layer to the legal battle, the fan’s wife is also filing a lawsuit against the artist, claiming a loss of consortium due to the incident, stating that she has suffered the loss of her husband’s companionship.
