American hip-hop artist Kanye West has set his sights on an international tour, and Nigeria, Kenya, and Egypt are on the map for his ‘Vultures’ world tour in 2024 and 2025. The Grammy-winning rapper made the exciting announcement on his Instagram story on Wednesday, revealing a glimpse of the suggested tour dates, with Lagos, Nigeria, and Nairobi, Kenya, highlighted for performances at Eko Energy City on December 14, 2024, and Nyayo International Stadium on December 7, 2024.
The extensive tour is set to kick off in Toronto, Canada, on June 22, 2024, before making its way across the United States until August. After the North American leg, the tour will venture into Mexico, Spain, Egypt, the United Kingdom, and the United Arab Emirates, culminating in highly anticipated stops in Kenya and Nigeria in December 2024.
Following the African segment, Kanye West will continue his global tour, making appearances in Australia in January 2025 and concluding the journey in Japan in February.
Kanye West, along with collaborator Ty Dolla $ign, has been teasing the release of ‘Vultures’ since August 2023. Despite various anticipated release dates, the artists have yet to deliver the projects on the specified days.
Notably, if Kanye West graces Lagos with his presence as part of the 2024 tour, it will mark his second performance in the commercial capital of Nigeria. The acclaimed artist previously participated in the Mega Star Jam in 2007, making this potential visit a highly awaited return for fans in the vibrant city.
