The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board said it would commence collection of Hajj fare deposit from prospective pilgrims from Jan. 10.
This is contained in a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of the board, Alhaji Nuhu Badamasi, and made available to newsmen in Kano on Thursday.
Badamasi said under the arrangement, the collection of the deposit would end March 31. He added that prospective pilgrims were expected to contact their respective local government pilgrims centre officers to secure the Hajj seats.
Badamasi explained that after securing the seats, the pilgrims were expected to make a bank draft of N1 million, payable to the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board.
“In addition, prospective pilgrims are also expected to submit the draft together with their E-passports and 20 passport photographs with white back ground,”the he said.
According to Badamasi, the pilgrims should also submit the document to the board with guarantor’s forms by a recognised traditional institution, Chief Imam of Jama’at Mosque or a serving civil servant not below grade level 12 and bio-data forms.
He advised prospective pilgrims to open an account for ease of transaction. (NAN).
