Pandemonium struck in Kano state when a 55-year-old man, identified as Abdulhamid Muhammad drowned after falling into a well in an attempt to rescue his precious sheep.
Alhaji Saidu Mohammed, The Public Relations Officer of the state’s Fire Service, while confirming the bizarre incident, he said:

“We received a distress call from Danbatta fire station through one Malama Ummi, On receiving the information, we quickly sent our rescue team to the scene at about 4.42 a.m”.
“Muhammad‘s corpse was removed from the well and taken to Danbatta General Hospital.”He added.
Meanwhile, also in Kano state, a man identified as Murtala Muhammad was lucky to be rescued by men of the State Police Command after being chained down in a room by his own father for at least three decades.
In a shocking report, the development was prompted after the State Police also rescued one Ibrahim Lawan, a man held captive by his father for 15 years in the same city.
Muhammad, a resident of Kofar Fada in Rogo Local Government Area of Kano State, was rescued by the police and Human Rights Network on Thursday.
Comrade AA Haruna Ayagi, Executive Director of Human Rights Network, said Muhammad was 25 years old when he was locked up in the house.
The 55-year-old victim was said to have been chained because he is mentally ill.
