The Kano State Government has urged traders in the State to contribute their quota towards boosting the economy of the state and the country as a whole.
The State’s Commissioner of Commerce, Industries, Cooperative and Tourism, Alhaji Rabiu Ahmed, made the call on Sunday in Kano during the election of the leaders of Kano Traders Multipurpose Cooperative Society.
The Commissioner said the call had become imperative considering the present economic challenges in the country.
Ahmad advise the newly elected executives to ensure that they discharged their responsibilities diligently.
In his response, the newly elected Chairman of the traders, Alhaji Muntari Gashash, promised to ensure that they contributed in reviving the country’s economy.
Gashash also expressed readiness to work with all stakeholders in for the union to progress.(NAN)
