Kaduna APC Leader Ditches El-Rufai, Pledges Loyalty to Governor Uba Sani

A significant shift has occurred in Kaduna’s political landscape, as Hajiya Maryam Suleiman, the Kaduna State Woman Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has publicly distanced herself from former Governor Nasir El-Rufai.

Maryam, who was once a staunch ally of El-Rufai, criticized his recent defection to the Social Democratic Party (SDP), describing it as a “wrong political calculation.”

In a surprising move, Maryam declared her unwavering loyalty to the APC and Governor Uba Sani, praising his compassionate leadership and commitment to uplifting the people of Kaduna.

She also apologized for previously criticizing Governor Uba Sani, acknowledging that her past remarks were made out of ignorance. Maryam expressed her regret and pledged to make amends, rebranding herself from “Maryam Mai Rusau” to “Maryam Mai Ginau” in support of Governor Uba Sani’s developmental agenda.

This significant realignment is expected to have a profound impact on Kaduna’s political landscape, as the APC seeks to consolidate its influence in the state.
