Following the departure of Gianluigi Buffon , Serie A title holders Juventus have signed Mattia Perin from Genoa for £13.2m.
The new goalkeeper whose contract expires in 2022 ranked sixth for clean sheets in the Serie A for last season.
Perin made 150 appearances for his former club, Genoa during his 8-year period at the club.
The 25-year-old Italian goalkeeper made the first team in 2010 after which he was loaned out to Serie B side Padova and Delfino Pescara football club when they got promoted in 2012.
He is expected to fill in the position Buffon left behind after being with Juventus for 17 years.
Perin represented the Italian national team in a November 2014 football match against Albania.
Due to his attributes, movements, and playing style, he has been compared to Walter Zenga, a retired Italian goalkeeper.
