The Super Eagles of Nigeria have qualified for the 2022 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) with two games to spare.
Gernot Rohr’s team secured qualification on Saturday afternoon after Lesotho and Sierra Leone played out a goalless draw.
Lesotho, Sierra Leone, Benin Republic and Nigeria are in Group L vying for qualification to the continental showpiece.
The Super Eagles, who are presently in Benin Republic to face the Squirrels later today, have so far secured eight points from four games.
However, the draw between Lesotho and Sierra Leone, who have played five games each, ensured that the Super Eagles opened up an unassailable four-point advantage over third-placed Sierra Leone.
