Paris Saint-Germain have offered Lionel Messi a formal two-year contract, Skysports reports.
According to the report, Messi and his representatives are carefully reviewing the offer which is said to be worth £25m a year after tax.
During a press conference on Sunday, the six-time Ballon D’Or winner said he could join PSG.
Asked about possibly joining the Parisians, the 34-year-old said: “That’s honestly one possibility, to reach those heights. At the minute, I’ve got nothing confirmed with anybody.”
His comment followed a conversation last week with PSG head coach and fellow Argentine Mauricio Pochettino about the possibility of moving to France.
Although there are two other options available to the player, the French club appears the favourite to land arguably the best player football has ever seen.
